What's that? It's time for the word family of the week! In this class, each week we will be introduced to a new word family. We will practice reading, spelling, and writing words that are in the word family and that use the word family pattern. Once students have been introduced to some of the word family words, we will make a craft and practice reading, writing, and spelling some of these 3 and 4 letter words that are in the same word family. We will play a game to practice recognizing...
We will learn 1 new word family spelling pattern each week. We will practice identifying words that fit into the word family. We will practice reading, spelling, and writing the word family words. We will make a craft that will help us to remember the word family.

Word family crafts will always be introduced and worked on in each class, but we may not have time to finish. If we run out of time, crafts can be finished at home.
Each week 1-2 printable pages will be uploaded to the classroom 24 hours prior to class. Basic Craft Supplies (markers, crayons, scissors, glue/glue sticks) Construction paper (for a craft background - optional).
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
30 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
Parents can help by printing out the craft pages prior to class. If students are not comfortable with scissors and glue, parents can be there to help with that part of the letter craft.
