 Week 1
Lesson 1
Welcome, Read a Yarn Label, Chain Stitch
Welcome! This week we will learn how to read a yarn label. There is a lot of information on a yarn label, but what does it all mean? We will also learn the chain stitch, the most basic of crochet stitches.
 Week 2
Lesson 2
Scarf, Single Crochet
This week we will learn the single crochet stitch. We will also start working on our first crochet project, a scarf.
 Week 3
Lesson 3
Dishcloth, Single Crochet/Moss Stitch
This week's project is a dishcloth. Based on the learners' comfort level with the single crochet, we can make our dishcloth using just single crochet stitches, or combine them with chain stitches to create the moss stitch pattern. I will demonstrate both.
 Week 4
Lesson 4
Hair Scrunchie, Slip Stitch
We are doing a fun project this week. A hair scrunchie! We will learn the slip stitch, and I'll get you started making your scrunchie. I will show you how to finish your scrunchie too, so you can finish on your own time.
 Week 5

Bag, Double Crochet
For the last week of the course, we are going to learn the double crochet stitch. We will then use the double crochet stitch to make a bag!
  • Learners will learn the chain, slip stitch, single and double crochet stitches.
  • Learners will practice their crochet skills in a variety of crochet creations.
