Class Experience
Welcome to horse craft club! In this one on one horse craft club, we will be making fun crafts for our Breyers, Schleich, or other model horses. We will be making a variety of horse accessories! These will be high-quality and realistic accessories. Please make sure your learner has all the materials ready for class, some items may require adult supervision. This class is listed as 60 minutes but please note that the crafts take an average of 40-70 minutes to complete. Below will be a list of the crafts we will do each week supply lists will be sent out on the Wednesday before class. This is the schedule I follow unless learners what to do something specific. Because this is a one on one class learners can tell me what class they would like to do next with a 48 hour advanced notice. Teacher expertise and credentials
Hello everyone, I'm Britney! I am so glad you popped into my bio to learn more about me.
I teach 2 main topics on Outschool. The first one being classes about horses, the other about YouTube. I would love the opportunity to share why I choose these very different topics.
Why teach about horses?
Well first off who doesn't love horses? am I right? What is not to love about these wonderful and powerful animals?
I have been riding since I was about 9 years old so over 20 years now. I ride mostly English although I did have a brief spot on the high school rodeo team where I competed in barrel racing. Even though I loved barrel racing my passion was in jumping. I competed in jumping all over the United States for over 10 years. I have run my own lesson and training program for multiple years as well as trained with some of the best equestrians in the US including Bob McDonald who is a famous trainer and husband of Olympian dressage rider Debbie McDonald. To say the least I have an incredible passion for horses and love teaching other horse-loving kids all about horses as well.
So why teach about YouTube?
I have a YouTube channel with over 10K subscribers and have learned so much along the way. YouTube is an ever-changing platform but has not slowed down in growth. I love to study how the YouTube algorithms work and how to get great views on your videos. I have learned so much about how to have a successful channel and like to be able to benefit your aspiring YouTubers by providing the knowledge all in one place. I offer two main YouTube classes. A "crash course" where we go over everything and a social/support group in an ongoing class format where they can come together to meet other like-minded creators. Video creation and YouTube are a big passion of mine and I think it's wonderful to support like-minded children on their YouTube journey.
My teaching style:
I am a fun and upbeat teacher with a hand on conversation-based learning style. I like to include my students in every aspect of the teaching process whether it be asking questions or encouraging communication between my learners. I like to make sure my students are engaged and excited to take my classes. I want every class to be fun as well as an awesome learning experience.
Some fun facts about me:
I am the mother of 3 wonderful children ages 9, 12, and 14.
I live in Boise, ID but am originally from the Bay Area in Ca. and lived in Jackson Hole, WY for 10 years in between.
I love the ocean.
I have 4 younger siblings one of which is 20 years younger than me.
I have 1 dog and 3 bunnies.
If anyone has any questions for me I am happy to respond and I would love to see one of your learners in my classes.
