Class Experience

This class will be taught using a PowerPoint presentation, white board practice, and modeling (I do, we do, you do.)
Students will have the opportunity to practice decoding and answering addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division word problems. Each student will write his or her own word problem to share with the class (if they wish) and the other students will answer. Each student will know how to explain his or her answer.
In order to take this class, students should already have some practice solving addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division equations.
Example:
Harry bought 6 treats for his owl. The treats cost $3 apiece. How much money did he pay for the treats?
