In this one time class students will learn the basic skills and qualities that make a great wizard/witch! Students are invited to bring their own magic wand to class to cast spells with the other learners (this can be homemade, or a kitchen utensil, or anything else found around the house). Students should prepare to bring a piece of paper and colored pencils in order to draw a picture of a wizard in class with the other learners. PART ONE: The teacher will show the students a picture of a wizard to introduce the new word. The teacher will ask the students if they know of any great wizards/witches from stories, movies or books. PART TWO: Discussion: The teacher will ask the students what makes a great wizard (strong, smart, friendly, etc). PART THREE: Students will draw what they think a great wizard/witch looks like. PART FOUR: Students will share their picture with the class and are invited (but not required) to explain why their wizard/witch is great! PART FIVE: Students will come up with their own magic spell and share what their spell does! (If they can't come up with their own, the teacher will have spells for them to choose from) **This class involves 'pretend' magic. There is no spiritual element to the class. The spells are silly spells taken from kids' shows and movies or made up by the teacher.

Meet the Teachers!
🎮 Mr. Vaughn, B.A., TESOL
Hi, my name is Vaughn! I am from Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada. I love spending time with my 1-year-old son, my wife, Ms. Kait and our cat, Milo. 🐈⬛
While completing my bachelor's degree, I began teaching ESL online in 2019. Since then, I have branched out to the wonderfully diverse Outschool platform.
The thing I love about Outschool is that I can teach about the things I am truly passionate about, which include video games, anime, pop culture, and guitar. I always aim to find the best ways to engage my learners so that they will have an exciting and memorable learning experience. 💫
🎮 Ms. Kait, B.A. Intercultural Studies, TESOL
Hello, I'm Ms. Kait! I have been teaching online for 6 years, predominantly focusing on English as a Second Language. Recently, I transitioned to hosting gaming classes and I couldn't be more excited about it! As a lover of games like Zelda, Roblox, and Mario Party, I believe in creating a safe and engaging environment for all kids to learn in. I can't wait to meet you in one of my gaming, Harry Potter or Marvel classes!
