Class Experience

Jewelry wire can be the show-stopping focus of a beautiful piece of jewelry, just as much as beads! In this one-time jewelry making class, students will learn the beginning skills of bending and shaping copper wire with professional style jewelry pliers to create their own stylish bracelet, opening a whole new world of jewelry crafting like never before. Students will learn how to create secure individual links for beads, how to create unique wire components using jewelry pliers, and how to connect it all together to create a one-a-kind piece of jewelry that no one else in the world has! Students are guided every step of the way as they gain experience in creating jewelry like a professional.

Class time will focus on guiding students to create their first complete bracelet, and the class will discuss how the same skills are applied to making necklaces. At the end of this class, students will have the knowledge to make both bracelets and necklaces using wireworking techniques and incorporating their own sense of style.

This class is designed to be an introduction to wireworking with a focus on how to make necklaces and bracelets. For students interested in learning the introductory skills specifically for making earrings, check out my offered class: "Wireworking Intro for Earring Making: Learn to Create Unique Designs With Wire".

This class is ideal for any student who:
• Wants to explore making bracelets for the first time
• Wants to develop a unique artistic style for bracelet and necklace making
• Wants to start a business selling jewelry
• Wants to have fun making bracelets and necklaces

What to expect when you sign up for this class:
• Students will learn essential wire shaping skills for bracelet making so that they can continue creating new bracelet and necklace designs long after our class together.
• Each step is carefully explained, and within each step students can work at their own pace.
• Class sizes are kept small to ensure that all enrolled students receive personalized attention and instruction, helping every growing jeweler excel.
• Students are asked to keep their microphone off so that everyone can hear instructions clearly, but we also turn our mics on throughout the class to share thoughts, answer questions, and share our work.
• If students need more time to complete a project even as class time is coming to a close, students will have the choice to stay a few minutes longer to finish their work. There's no rush when creating art!

Highlights of This Class:
• This class is for any student who has a passion for getting started or getting better at jewelry making. No previous experience is required!
• As the instructor, I have two cameras up: a regular face camera and a second close-up camera on my hands so that students can see the close-up details of every step.
• Students are guided and supported every step of the way to reach their goals.
• Students are encouraged to ask questions, share ideas, and share their work with one another as we create together!
