Each week artists will be given a new still life challenge that we will paint together with watercolors.
We will practice watercolor techniques, and discuss composition and color theory.

Still life’s are a great way to improve our artistic skills as it encourages you to notice various lines, values, composition, textures and more! Each week we will have a new still life to paint using watercolors. We will discuss composition, color theory, and practice watercolor techniques. Class will be very interactive as we work together on a still life, have discussions, and share our work. The still life for each session will be decided by myself and the the students and consist of a variety of different subjects. After the first class students will be invited to share their own still life with the class for everyone to work on (if they are interested). Students of all abilities are welcome to join as we will each be working on our own pieces and improving our skill set. Week of 2/17/21: teacher will provide a still life Week of 2/24/21: one student will design and share a still life Week of 3/3/21: NO CLASS Week of 3/10/21: one student will design and share a still life Week of 3/17: teacher will provide a St. Patricks day inspired still life

Class Supply List: - Watercolor paper - Watercolor paints - Paint brush - cup of water - Paper towel or rag (just to clear brush between colors)

Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
