Ukulele Part Three (Age 8-12)
The third class in the Ukulele Jumpstart series
After taking Ukulele Jumpstart and Ukulele Next Step, we need to keep playing and keep moving forward. This class will pick up where the first one left off! This class will focus on specific styles and strumming patterns that can really expand the performer's sound and ability. This class will have a stronger focus on reading and playing uke TAB as well as learning some music theory as related to ukulele playing. Students will be given the opportunity to perform songs they have worked on...
I love being able to play an instrument that is portable - I can take my ukulele anywhere to create music, by myself or with friends and family. I have such a passion for music and feel it can be a great bridge between people.
The student will need to have a ukulele during the sessions in order to get the most out of the class. If you don't have one, there are many really inexpensive ones you can pick up from local music stores or order online. Send me a message if you need help finding one!
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
45 minutes per week in class, and an estimated 0 - 1 hours per week outside of class.
