I am a professional singer, teaching artist, mindfulness coach and music therapist. I have been working with children with and without special needs through my music therapy practice and have been a teaching artist for different organizations, public library, local contemporary art museum, etc. My classes are always a little more than just a ukulele class where the learner will be guided by their own level and abilities.

A TUNER- An electronic tuner or any Tuning app will work. A STURDY CHAIR/space to sit preferably a small chair with no arm rests where the feet reach flat on the floor IS highly RECOMMENDED and will make a huge difference on how the student can play the instrument, get focused and works their hand/eye finger coordination. Taking this class on the bed, family couch, high bar stool chairs or swingy office chair/stool is NOT RECOMMENDED for better attention and not develop a bad posture and habit. If house or learning space is loud have headphones available.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
Student WILL NEED a tuner, any electronic tuner or any application for the smart phone or tablet would work.
I will also be adding songs and chord charts as needed, these can be kept physically in a folder/binder or downloaded and be available to be used electronically.
