In this private class students learn at their own pace, work on hand eye coordination, follow simple directions and focus. From learning the parts of the instrument, how to tune , 3 basic chords and 3 first songs to start making music!

What's included

1 live meeting
30 mins in-class hours per week
Mastery Evaluation
1-2 hours per week. I recommend students to practice regularly was learned through the week to be able to keep up with the next lesson, chord or song. Students should be practicing a minimum of 5min everyday to improve.
Assessment
Learner will be able to show us their improvement through their play.

Class Experience

In this private class, students will learn the ukulele basics from learning the different parts and learn how to tune their instrument, to learning the three basic chords that will allow them to play at least their first 3 or 4 songs. The class is designed for students to learn at their own pace and maybe spend the rest of the time to complete the hour to practice what we learned during our meeting.
No experience with the instrument is necessary, but the will and motivation to try to play and keep up with the practice to get better in time will be needed.

Students will learn Ukulele play basics such as instrument origins, tuning the instrument, 3 basic chords and at least 3 songs.

Learning Needs
Students will learn as fast or slow as they need to.
Pre-Requisites
No experience is needed, but the students will need a tuner or an app to assist them with tuning their instrument. A good stable sitting chair where their feet can reach the floor will be helpful to have.
Supply List
A TUNER- An electronic tuner or any Tuning app will work.
A STURDY CHAIR/space to sit preferably a small chair with no arm rests where the feet reach flat on the floor IS highly RECOMMENDED and will make a huge difference on how the student can play the instrument, get focused and works their hand/eye finger coordination.
Taking this class on the bed, family couch, high bar stool chairs or swingy office chair/stool is NOT RECOMMENDED for better attention and not develop a bad posture and habit. 
 If house or learning space is loud have headphones available.

I am a professional singer, teaching artist, mindfulness coach and music therapist. I have been working with children with and without special needs through my music therapy practice and have been a teaching artist for different organizations, public library, local contemporary art museum, etc. My classes are always a little more than just a ukulele class where the learner will be guided by their own level and abilities.
