Description

Class Experience

In this ongoing class, we will working on pre-reading skills using different activities and games. 

The general outline for this class is as follows:
-Greeting
-Activity for letter recognition (uppercase and lowercase letters)
-Activity for letter sounds
-Sometimes, there will be an activity for other pre-reading skills, such as rhyming, opposites, or syllables- for example. 
-Game (or two, depending on time)
-Farewell

This class is taught in English.

We are working on pre-reading skills and working on strengthening them.

My degree is a Bachelor’s in Elementary K-6, but I have several years of experience in the preschool/Pre-K setting. Improving pre-reading skills is in my skill set as an early childhood educator.

I will message you if there is something to print before class; however, this will not be every week. 

When this happens, I will also let you know what additional materials are needed (ie crayons, pencil, etc.).

Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.

We will visit another assessment after a few months have passed by, using the same assessment, to see where we are. We will talk about this before and during another assessment.

30 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
