Description
Class Experience
Short vowel sounds will be taught (A, E, I, O, U) so your child can learn to match the letter A with the (short A) sound. Students will begin by practicing identifying the short A sound in the -ad and -at word families (i.e. glad, mad, sad, sat, hat). They will continue through each vowel sound, using a tapping method, where they learn to tap out sounds. This tapping method is very effective for teaching reading.
