Comprehension Tutoring:

🛑🌟 If you are a teacher, school, and/or any other educational program looking for reading intervention, 1on1 ELA reading class, and/or tutoring during school hours please message me your needs directly. 🌟🛑

⭐️ Message me about Summer Reading if your child has a summer reading list to complete.

⭐️ This is a 1 on 1 tutoring class for reading comprehension.

⭐️ Please message me your child's grade and/or reading level when signing up for class, if their reading level is significantly lower or higher for their age.

⭐️ Please make sure your child’s age is correct. It’s imperative to message me your child’s correct age if it’s not showing on their profile.

Why is This Important?
If your child is 10 but their age shows 7, the class materials would be prepared for grade level 1/2 instead of the proper grade level 4/5.

Example Message:

Hello,
My child is 10 years old and is in the 4th grade. He/she is autistic and their reading level is equivalent to grade 2. He/ she struggles the most with fluency and recalling what happened in a story. He/she loves to read books about ponies and penguins.

⭐️ What to Expect?
In this one-on-one class we will read different books and passages based on your child's grade level. We will complete questions related to the text and take fun quizzes along the way. Students will be able to read the book or passage on screen. As we work through each class, students will develop knowledge on various topics, text features and age-appropriate reading activities. Your child will increase their knowledge and gain confidence in their reading skills. We will work on word pronunciations, word meanings, decoding text, relating text to real life situations and so much more. This class focuses on your child's understanding of reading and will be geared to their learning pace.

🛑 Things to Note 🛑
***This class requires a minimum reading level of E. ***
E is equivalent to beginner first grade level. Below is an example of a level E reading passage.

Jack’s Birdhouse

Jack wants to build a birdhouse.
He gets some wood.
He gets some nails and paint.
His mom helps too.
She gets a saw and a hammer.
She gets a pencil and ruler.
Jack draws his birdhouse.
They build it together.
Then they hang it up in a tree.
A bird goes into the bird house.
A second bird goes in. A third bird goes in.
A fourth bird goes in!
Jack and his mom look at each other.
They need a bigger birdhouse!

*END*

If your child struggles with the passage above and cannot pronounce most of the words, this reading comprehension class may not be a good fit.

I hold a Bachelor of Science degree, and as a dedicated and passionate teacher, I understand the importance of creating a nurturing and supportive learning environment. My teaching philosophy is rooted in the belief that "knowledge is power" and that education is a key to building strong foundation in life. I strive to make each lesson an opportunity for growth, ensuring that your child feels confident and encouraged every step of the way.

Beyond the classroom, I'm an avid learner myself. I love exploring different cultures, traveling to new places, and diving into a good audiobook. These experiences enrich my teaching and allow me to bring fresh perspectives to our lessons.

In my classroom, every child is valued and heard. My teaching style is warm, patient, and interactive.
