Class Experience
In this class, students will learn how to bake chocolate fudge pie! This one-time class will be very fun and interactive! Students will follow along with me as we bake the chocolate fudge pie to completion. While the pie is in the oven, we will have a discussion on baking essentials, baking tools, and additional ingredients. Plus, we will take the time get to know each other more. Students will improve their skills as bakers in the kitchen by working hands-on with various ingredients and kitchen equipment.
I have been helping my parents in the kitchen since I was a little girl. I love the science of baking and want to share my joy with others. I have 3 years of experience teaching students.
Students should gather the required ingredients and tools prior to class time. Enjoy the amazing product you baked and share with family!
Kitchen Equipment- • Fork or a whisk • Mixing bowl • Big spoon or Rubber Spatula • Oven mitt • Oven • Cooling rack or Cutting Board (dried) • Microwave or Small Pot (to melt butter) • Small Bowl (microwavable safe) Ingredients- • Store bought/Pre-Made Pie Crust (Graham Cracker & 9-inch recommended) • 2 sticks (3/4 Cup) of melted butter, unsalted or salted • Semisweet Chocolate Chips • Dark Brown Sugar • Sugar • 3 Eggs • All-Purpose Flour • Whipping Cream • Vanilla Extract • Whipped Cream (to serve on top of pie, optional)
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
1 hour 5 minutes per week in class, and an estimated 0 - 1 hours per week outside of class.
Parental guidance is advised. The potential hazards of this course include the use of a stove/oven.
