Join this one-time class where we’ll make mint chocolate chip cookies—a delicious twist on a classic favorite! We’ll begin with brief introductions and go over the supplies we’ll be using. Then, we’ll work together to make the cookies, following each step along the way. For this class, learners will need a mixer or a bowl and spoon to mix the dough. You’ll also need at least one baking sheet, parchment paper or cooking spray, butter, sugar, peppermint extract, vanilla extract, green food coloring (optional), eggs, flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, and milk chocolate chips. The full recipe will be posted in the classroom about 4 hours before class begins.

* Students will need to use an oven. Supervision is required at the parents’ discretion.

Teacher expertise and credentials
I have my bachelors degree in special education plus additional course work for art and TESOL (teaching English as a second language). I have been working with children for more than 20 years including as a certified teacher and a homeschool mom. I have worked with a wide variety of age groups and and taught a variety of subjects including severe-profound special education preschool, honors high school and everything in between. But my specialties are drawing, brick building classes, elementary literacy, special education and baking. I even own small bakery!
My husband and I have three children. We enjoy camping, hiking, going to the park and playing board games as a family. My personal hobbies include baking, reading, painting, drawing and crocheting.
