Important Note: CEFR: all levels. Inclusive, neurodiverse learners welcome. In this personalized class for stress and anxiety relief, Learner identifies and works on a positive and personally meaningful affirmation; is guided through gentle and dynamic chair yoga poses to open up the breathing muscles, release physical stress and realign the body; then is guided through calming and rebalancing breathing techniques (such as alternate nostril breathing and hissing breath); and finally completes a mindful breathing meditation. This combination of practices helps Learner release stressors and cultivate wellbeing. The class is taught in an inclusive-interactive way, following the techniques of Mindfulness, Loving Kindness, the Science of Well-Being and Yogic Sciences of Poses and Breathing Control Exercises (see sources for further details), in a serene, caring environment. Student will have the opportunity to ask questions following each class experience, and receive further clarifications. Class may be repeated once or twice weekly. There is no previous requirement for this class.
Learning Goals
