Students will celebrate Halloween by making an edible wand. I can't wait to see your costumes!

Class experience

The main learning goal is creating chocolate covered pretzels.
For edible wands:
A tall mug (we will melt the chocolate in the microwave if the mug is taller, more of the pretzel can be covered in chocolate)
Spoon
Parchment paper
Long sized pretzel rods
6oz (half of a bag) chocolate chips (more if student wants to decorate more pretzels)
Halloween themed sprinkles. Colored sugars don’t tend to look as bold on the melted chocolate, but you can choose what works for you. I prefer the kind in shakers so that students do not spill or waste sprinkles when using them. Some students may also like the edible eyes.

Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
Students may need help to find a proper microwave safe bowl when melting chocolate for the edible wands. Students may also need help using the microwave when melting chocolate.
