Students will get an overview of both SAT Math sections, including how they're scored, what score you need, and types of material tested. We'll talk strategies for both sections, including how to increase your speed and manage your time, and tips, tricks and pitfalls students should watch out for. We'll go through links to practice materials, discuss what students can do to prepare, and answer questions on how best to increase your score!
Students will come out of the class with strategies, techniques and a strong plan to increase their Math score on the SAT.
I have been tutoring the SATs and standardized tests for over 20 years, and am the owner and founder of Honors Educational Services, a private tutoring company. I typically meet with students one-on-one, but want to bring my experience to as many students as possible while we're dealing with the current crisis.
Students should plan to practice the math sections on their own. There will be no homework due that I will collect.
Links to practice materials will be provided. Students should be prepared to take notes. Students should plan to print practice tests at home or purchase the College Board test guide that will be shown (not required before class meeting).
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
1 hour 25 minutes per week in class, and an estimated 2 - 4 hours per week outside of class.
