Class Experience

The topic that will be taught is Basic Sentence Patterns such as the S-IV, S-TV-DO, S-TV-IO-DO, S –LV-C, S-TV-DO-OCA, and S –TV-DO-OCN.
The teacher will start her lesson with vocabulary word comprehension that will be discussed in the lesson proper and then they will instruct to arrange the jumbled sentences correctly. After that, they will be asked some relevant follow-up questions about the activity:
1. What makes a group of words a sentence?
2. What are the two parts of the sentence?
3. What will happen if the words are arranged in different patterns?
4. Do you think following a definite structure is important? Why?

After doing the activity, the teacher will proceed to the lesson proper to present the basic sentence patterns through an interactive discussion. They will be asked about those patterns in the sentences. The students will give examples for each pattern.

Their learning acquisition will be evaluated through individual and group activities. The teacher will give them three activities after the discussion :
1.structured- they will be asked to read a conversation and have them identify the basic sentence pattern used
2.semi-structured - they will be asked to complete the sentences by filling in the blanks with correct subject and predicate
3.unstructured activities - this is a ( group discussion) of the given task (depends on the total number of the learners)

These activities are effective to intensify their class involvement and stimulate their interests in the lesson by incorporating multiple intelligences and differentiated instructions.
The students should be able to reflect on the relevance of the sentence patterns by generalizing them and relating to a real-life scenario

Take note: I'm giving extra 5-10 minutes time if the learners need more time to do their activities particularly if the class consists of 6 learners

Learning Goals

At the end of this lesson, the learners will be able to apply basic sentence patterns meaningfully and appropriately in oral and written production.

Mentoring students in journalism was one of the indispensable milestones that I enjoyed doing for four years. My job was crucial but fulfilling because I could balance my work as a class adviser and guide and teach them the aspects of newspaper from writing, editing, and layout.

I would love to teach you English speaking skills, Study and Thinking skills, correct grammar construction, comprehending literary text, writing a business letter, idiomatic expression, parts of speech, or any lessons in English.
To achieve a meaningful, child-centered, and engaging class, learners have their way of grasping learning. As a teacher, I have to help my students develop themselves by supporting their specific needs and incorporating differentiated instructions.

I'm a passionate and student-centered-focused teaching professional committed to providing a supportive, meaningful, engaging, and well-balanced learning environment for all the learners of English. I'm competent in understanding learners' needs and forming sensible action plans that will be useful in achieving organizational goals.
