Parental Guidance
This is not a therapy class. As a High school and Sped teacher, I was able to deal with different levels of anger among my students. The school trained me to help my students overcome their anger issues through academic and beneficial techniques.

Hello, I'm teacher Jocelyn; I have been teaching English for 8 yrs. I've already taught kids, teenagers, and adults at different levels from beginner to advanced. I love singing and playing ukulele and guitar. I'm currently teaching in California as a certified Education Specialist.

I have a bachelor's degree in Secondary Education major in English. I have a master's degree in Educational Management and a master's degree in Special Education. Currently, I'm pursuing my Ph.D. in Special Education. I am certified to teach English to Speakers of Other Languages and a certified behavior technician. I took short courses on English for Media Literacy at the University of Pennsylvania, Content-Based Instruction at American English E-Teacher Program, Using Educational Technology in the English Language Classroom (K-12/HE)at Iowa University, and Professional Development for Teachers at Arizona State University.

Mentoring students in journalism was one of the indispensable milestones that I enjoyed doing for four years. My job was crucial but fulfilling because I could balance my work as a class adviser and guide and teach them the aspects of newspaper from writing, editing, and layout.

I would love to teach you English speaking skills, Study and Thinking skills, correct grammar construction, comprehending literary text, writing a business letter, idiomatic expression, parts of speech, or any lessons in English.
To achieve a meaningful, child-centered, and engaging class, learners have their way of grasping learning. As a teacher, I have to help my students develop themselves by supporting their specific needs and incorporating differentiated instructions.

I'm a passionate and student-centered-focused teaching professional committed to providing a supportive, meaningful, engaging, and well-balanced learning environment for all the learners of English. I'm competent in understanding learners' needs and forming sensible action plans that will be useful in achieving organizational goals.
