I am an African American with lived experiences as one. I have an African American Studies degree with a concentration in Pan Afrikaanism at the Carruther's Center for Inner City Studies at Northeastern Illinois University. (NEIU-CCICS Chicago). It is my belief that in spite of what we are experiencing in the 21st Century, knowing your history, good & bad provides a platform for much needed discourse about what it means to be melaninated in America.

Homework consists of readings, weekly vocabulary words & definitions, classroom discussions, videos, posted questions and reflections (exit ticket).
All materials, supplements, course information and announcements will be posted in your Google classroom once you have registered for this course. **SYLLABUS PROVIDED UPON REGISTRATION**

1 hour 15 minutes per week in class, and an estimated 2 - 4 hours per week outside of class.
I work diligently to provide age appropriate, relevant truth and I do not embellish nor distort historical facts about the subject matter. Please do not hesitate to reach out to me for any concerns, questions, and kudos.
