Welcome to 'Tagalog Talk: Language Essentials for Filipino-American Kids'! In this six- week self paced course, your learner will begin to master essential Tagalog language skills. Each week, we'll learn key topics such as greetings, family, school, hobbies, food, and more, building a strong foundation for conversation and connection within mixed-race Filipino families. I understand the need for Filipino-American families to keep their cultures and traditions in tact, which is why I created this course. Structured around engaging themes, every lesson is designed to captivate your learners' attention and spark their curiosity. Through dynamic presentations and interactive props, I bring the language to life, making learning both enjoyable and effective. My teaching style is highly engaging yet structured, ensuring that students grasp concepts while having fun along the way. While learners won't interact directly with me or their peers due to the self-paced nature of the course, they'll have the opportunity to practice through interactive activities, slides, and video clips incorporated into each lesson. Additionally, optional homework worksheets are provided for extra practice, with the option to receive personalized feedback. Join me on this language journey, where your learner will gain the confidence to communicate in Tagalog and strengthen their bond with family and heritage.
