This class uniquely combines real-world money skills with interactive play. Students learn to identify coins, count money, and solve problems while enjoying the engaging game "Pop the Pig," in a fun hands-on environment.

Pop the Pig: A Fun Money Adventure

In this exciting and interactive class, young learners will develop essential money skills while having a blast playing the engaging game "Pop the Pig." This hands-on course is designed for children ages 5-7 and provides a creative, playful way to explore foundational math concepts.

Students will learn to:

Identify and differentiate coins and bills.
Count money accurately.
Make change using real-world examples.
Solve basic word problems involving money.


Recognizing U.S. coins and their values (pennies, nickels, dimes, quarters).
Adding and subtracting money amounts.
Problem-solving with scenarios like shopping or saving.
Introduction to the concept of making change.

Each session will follow a structured yet dynamic format:

Warm-up activity: Quick review of money concepts with slides or a fun question.
Interactive lesson: Introduce new skills through visual aids, brief lectures, and discussions.
Game time: Play "Pop the Pig" to reinforce skills in a fun, engaging way.
Wrap-up: Summarize the day’s lesson and answer questions.


I will use a combination of:

Visual aids like slides and colorful illustrations.
Hands-on activities with counting and sorting coins.
The “Pop the Pig” game to practice money skills.
Guided discussions and opportunities for questions.


My teaching style is interactive, supportive, and fun! I use a warm and encouraging approach to build confidence in young learners. By incorporating games, visuals, and hands-on practice, I create an engaging environment where kids feel excited to learn.
