In this one-time class, students will learn how to multiply by 2, 5, and 10 using several strategies. We will use manipulatives, poems, songs, and games as well as paper and pencil to solve multiplication problems using repeated addition, skip counting, number lines and fair shares/equal groups. I have made several hand-outs and activities (that will need to be printed) for students to use to increase their multiplication fact fluency. Students should know their addition facts and skip counting before taking this class.
