For this class, the main objective is to review and practice foundational skills that will be needed for 6th grade math. The learner should have just finished 5th grade math and is scheduled to take 6th grade math in the next school year. Below is a list of concepts we will be covering in this class. •Day 1: Multiplication with Multi-Digit Whole Numbers •Day 2: Division with Multi-Digit Whole Numbers •Day 3: Order of Operations •Day 4: Mixed Operations (Add, Subtract, Multiply, and Divide) with Multi-Digit Whole Numbers and Multi-Step Word Problems •Day 5: Equivalent Fractions, Simplifying Fractions, and Converting Between Improper Fractions and Mixed Numbers •Day 6: Adding and Subtracting Fractions and Mixed Numbers with Unlike Denominators •Day 7: Multiplication with Fractions and Mixed Numbers •Day 8: Division with Fractions and Mixed Numbers •Day 9: Adding and Subtracting Decimals •Day 10: Multiplication with Decimals •Day 11: Dividing Decimals by Whole Numbers •Day 12: Dividing Decimals by Decimals •Day 13: Perimeter and Area of Rectangles •Day 14: Volume of Cubes, Rectangular Prisms, and Compound Figures *Please schedule your sessions carefully, as missed sessions will not be rescheduled or refunded.*

Hello! I have been teaching and working in the public school setting for the past nineteen years, and tutoring privately for the past ten years. I have worked with students ranging from kindergarten to eighth grade in math, reading, writing mechanics, American History, and beginning Spanish. I especially enjoy working with students in small groups or individually, and developed skills as an online educator when schools had to close for the pandemic. I have continued to work online with learners today, and truly enjoy it. When I'm not teaching, I enjoy watching television and movies, and traveling with my family.Reviews
