As students transition to middle and high school, study skills become increasingly important. In this 4 week live class, students will learn skills to become more independent, confident, life-long learners. There will be a live class each week focused on a specific topic. We will also talk about our goals. Students will be encouraged to apply what they learn in their lives and classes in school. A few days after class, I will post on our classroom page to follow up with students. Students are encouraged to post on our class page with updates about the goals they are working on. These check-ins are important as we build new habits. I will also be available throughout the week to support learners as they work towards meeting their goals (I do not regularly check e-mail on the weekend). Students can contact me on our class page or through Outschool's message system. Weekly Topics: Week 1: Knowing Yourself, Goal Setting, and Organization Week 2: Note-taking Strategies Week 3: Studying & Reviewing Strategies Week 4: Test-taking Strategies
