Welcome to Stories & Skills Enrichment Corner! This virtual enrichment club is designed for children ages 6-10 who are excited to explore new themes each week while strengthening their reading, math, and social skills. In this engaging, theme-based program, students will dive into a fresh topic every session through interactive storytelling, hands-on activities, and lively games that make learning feel like an adventure.

What will be taught?
Each class is crafted to enhance essential skills in a fun and supportive environment. Topics include reading comprehension, basic math concepts, critical thinking, and social-emotional skills, such as cooperation and communication.

Topics Covered:
Our weekly themes vary and include topics like “Under the Sea,” “Space Explorers,” “Animal Kingdom,” and “Time Travel Adventures,” among many others. These engaging themes allow students to learn new skills while sparking curiosity and creativity.

Class Structure:
Each 45-minute session follows a structured, engaging format:

Welcome & Warm-Up: A quick hello to set a friendly, comfortable atmosphere.
Theme Exploration: Introduction of the weekly theme with interactive visuals and questions to encourage student engagement.
Storytime: A fun, interactive story related to the theme, with pauses to ask questions and prompt predictions.
Activity & Skill Practice: An engaging activity or game focused on reinforcing skills like reading comprehension, counting, or pattern recognition.
Wrap-Up & Reflection: A brief discussion to recap the day’s theme and learning points, plus a preview of what’s next.
Teaching Style:
I use a play-based, interactive teaching style that encourages active participation and personal connection with each child. I strive to create a welcoming environment where students feel comfortable to share, ask questions, and make new friends.

Interaction:
Students will have multiple chances to interact with me and with each other through guided discussion, storytelling, and games. I encourage participation, questions, and group sharing to make each child feel involved and engaged.
