Teacher expertise and credentials
Hello and thank you for checking out my profile! A little about me..
I graduated in 2008 with my B.S. in Public Health Education. I really love teaching and working with children and youth. I've had the most AMAZING opportunity to be an ESL (English as a Second Language) online teacher for the last 6 years and I absolutely love it. I do have my TESOL (Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages ) certificate and I am currently working on getting my CDA (Child Development Association) certificate. I've most recently worked in a preschool setting at Head Start and loved every moment with the children.
I love seeing kids light up when they learn something new or when they are invested in their learning. Being apart of someone's growth and development is so enriching and beautiful. We all come into this world with our own unique talents, interests and abilities. We're all here to help each other on this journey. It is my mission to enable learners and encourage them to tap into their own intelligences. I'm passionate about being a life long learner and I instill that in my students and family.
I've done a few interesting things in life; sky diving with my husband for our 4th anniversary, passing kidney stones in Hawaii at 30 weeks pregnant and learning ventriloquism. I love organizing, setting goals and learning new things. The more I learn, the more I realize I don't know. I am so excited to be apart of Outschool so I can share what I am passionate about and what I am learning.
Fun classes you might seem me teaching: Reading, storytelling, crafts, cooking, puppets, iMovie creation, Youtube and talents.
