Students will dissect a poem, "Spring, the sweet spring" by Thomas Nashe, and uncover the rhyme scheme as well as learn poetic devices such as alliteration, personification, onomatopoeia, repetition, and imagery. In addition, students will learn about the Haiku poem and venture to write their own Haiku.
I have 20 years of experience teaching English Language Arts to students ages 10-18. I've taught poetry units, Shakespearean units, short stories, mythology, novels, American Literature, Gothic Literature, and so much more.
