In this class, students are introduced to a neighborhood of bears to teach them all about place value. There will be lots of laughing and silly stories, but by the end of class students will possess a strong skill to support years of mathematical study. Place value is a critical foundational skill in mathematics. The learning targets dor this class are: Students will identify digits in the ones, tens, hundreds, thousands, ten thousands, hundred thousands, millions, ten millions, hundred millions, and billions place. Students will identify digits in the tenths, hundredths, thousandths, ten thousandths, and hundred thousandths, and millionths place. Students will read multidigit large numbers.
