Spanish With Pictures! - At the Pool - Beginner Spanish Words & Sentences

In this fun class, the students will have the unique opportunity to learn diverse spanish sentence frames and vocabulary based on the discussions of real pictures. Both English and Spanish will be used to help the students understand the content and engage in class. 

Topic: At the Pool

The students will learn:
- 4-6 new vocabulary words 
- 3 new sentence frames in Spanish based on the picture. 

The students will be exposed to:
- 1 verb in Spanish and its conjugation

Class Sequence:
1. Introduction / warm- up: Teacher will introduce herself and guide students to introduce themselves in Spanish. 
2. Picture presentation: what do you see? We will look at different objects and people in the picture.
3. Vocabulary instruction: the students will learn and repeat the words to gain correct pronunciation with the teacher. 
4. Verb exposure: what are they doing? We will look at the action(s) performed in the picture. The teacher will provide exposure to verb conjugation in Spanish. 
5. Sentence frame brainstorm: the students will brainstorm simple sentences about the picture using learned vocabulary and the teacher will teach these sentences in Spanish. 
6. Review of vocabulary words. 
7. Closing: recap of words learned, favorite word/ sentence today...

Sample vocabulary and verbs:
-swim tube, sunglasses, swim and more! 

*NO previous experience in Spanish is required. 
*The students MUST be able to read in English in order to take this class. 
*Please rememember EVERY child participating in this class must be registered even within the same household. 
*It is important the student is on video for the duration of the class in order to correct pronunciation and make class more interactive. 
*If 6 learners are enrolled the class will run for ~40 minutes.
