¡Hola Amigos! Pepe and I are be back with new games, songs, and stories! This is an ongoing Spanish Club. In each meeting, we will begin with introductions, greetings, a hello song and a goodbye song! We will explore stories and songs based on different themes ( weather, animals, colours, shapes.) These meetings are targeted to young language learners (3-5) with no previous or very little knowledge of Spanish. Consider this a fun introduction to a new language! Let’s build a bridge… A practice I use to engage students is “bridging.” I create a “bridge” to show the similarities and differences between the two languages (English and Spanish). The “bridge” focuses on the structures of language, which includes phonetics and semantics. Therefore, the classes will be taught with comprehensible input in Spanish with assistance in English. Learning will happen in a natural way - through games, songs, and short conversations. “Research has shown that children learning a second language start reading earlier, and the advantage increases the earlier they are exposed to the second language” What this subscription includes: 👉A fun and engaging 25 minute class 👉Vocabulary List 👉A list of activities that parents can use to continue practicing after class Themes that will be covered in our language club: 👉Weekly Activities for Spanish Classes in Pre-K / Kindergarten Sample of Topics: The Weather and the Seasons / El Tiempo y las Estaciones ☀️❄️ Week 1: Learn weather vocabulary with flashcards and sing a weather song. Vocabulary: Triángulo (triangle), Estrella (star), Corazón (heart) Week 3: Trace and color shapes on a handout, practicing their names. Vocabulary: Forma (shape), Línea (line), Esquina (corner) Week 4: Use playdough to create shapes and build objects from them. Vocabulary: Construir (build), Bloque (block), Rodar (roll) LANGUAGE USE: This class is designed to engage little learners in Spanish. It is not an immersion class. English is used for clarification and to ease some learners. MUTING POLICY: Participation is always encouraged. My preference is to have learners unmuted, however there may be instances when learners need to be muted due to the background noise or in order to hear other learners share. CLASS EXPECTATIONS: Learners will be asked to raise their hands to ask a question or before sharing. I may also call on each learner and may do so in order that I see them on my screen. CLASS CANCELLATIONS: If a class has not met the minimum number of enrolments, it may be canceled. A message will be sent 24 hours before the class to advise. ACTIVITIES: The activities require the handout (uploaded to the classroom every Friday), playdough (some activities), and crayons.
Learning Goals
Students will improve their comprehension and passion for Spanish.

Hello there,
My name is Yenny and I have been teaching languages for more than ten years. I have taught Spanish and English to learners of all ages! I hold a B.A in English Language and Literature with a minor in Hispanic Studies. I come from a bilingual household where Spanish was the first language I learned. I understand the importance of introducing a new language or retaining a heritage language therefore I am excited to introduce a variety of classes to our eager learners! I am also raising a little polyglot of my own who at the age of 7 can speak English, Spanish and French.
I look forward to meeting your learner in class :)
Nos vemos pronto!
