Class Experience

US Grade 6 - 9
Beginner Level
Are you ready to learn how to have a basic conversation in Spanish? This is the perfect fit for you if you're just getting started with Spanish.

Class Structure
The teacher will say each vocabulary word and there will be an image of the word on the screen in the video. Students will say each word along with the teacher. After saying each word, they can practice on Nearpod (see parental guidance below).

Teacher Style
This teacher is methodical in her approach. Every lesson will include class notes, pronunciation practice and activities on Nearpod.

This is an independent study and you will not hear from the teacher unless you ask questions in the class page or send her a direct message.

Materials
There will be four video lessons where students learn the pronunciation of each vocabulary word. For a more interactive environment, we will provide self-paced Nearpod links once you've registered for the class. Nearpod is an Outschool approved resource.

We will provide a PDF of the vocabulary list where students can access a Google Documents link to fill in the blank with each vocabulary word as they learn it. There will also be a PDF with the answer key and a Google Documents link to add the answer key to your own Google Drive.

Background Knowledge for This Class
You can be an absolute beginner and still take this class. It might help if you've learned the Spanish alphabet so you understand the how to pronounce the words a little better, but it's not required. We offer a Spanish alphabet course as well which you can find here: https://outschool.com/classes/spanish-alphabet-numbers-0-10-in-spanish-and-spanish-days-of-the-week-mTRFm6nu
