Class Experience

I have taught and tutored math for about twenty years. I hold a current teaching certificate in K-8 elementary school, with a focus on math. I am halfway to my master's in secondary math. I really enjoy math - it is very relate-able to food and money! 
1) Complete any workbook pages/problems assigned.
2) Review work done in the textbook.
3) Practice math facts - addition, subtraction, multiplication, division - as learned in class.
4) Optional homework assignments can be completed as the practice is needed. 
Books may be purchased through (available internationally) Required: 1) Singapore Dimensions Math Textbook 4B 2) Singapore Dimensions Math Workbook 4B 3) Pencils, Paper Protractor, set square, straight edge (chapters 15 and 16) Optional: Items: paper and scissors (chapter 17) Writing tablet (for example, ) Singapore Dimensions printables: Optional manipulatives and items are available through the Singapore Dimensions store Singapore Dimensions Math Tests 4B Singapore Dimensions Math Teacher's Guide 4B Singapore Math Primary Math Intensive Practice US Edition 4B Singapore Math Extra Practice for Primary Math US Edition 4 Challenging Word Problems CC Ed 4
In addition to the Outschool classroom, this class uses:
Parents should please assist their students in sending the teacher the "Test" assessments in private messages before the next class, if requesting a grade or assistance. Please do not post answers to Tests on the classroom public posts.
1 hour 40 minutes per week in class, and an estimated 2 - 4 hours per week outside of class.

All the external resources in this class are optional. - This class includes a paid subscription to for the duration of this course. This is an optional resource and not required for learners. Learners will be given a username and password upon request.
Khan Academy and Splashlearn - This class also provides matching supplementary lessons from Khan Academy and Splashlearn - both of which you can use without accounts, or create accounts. Both of these resources are optional and not required for this class as well.
YouTube - Videos with YouTube links will be provided for pre-teaching the class material. No account is needed.
Nearpod - No account is needed. I will post a link to the class Nearpod. Learners will type in their Outschool name, but no other information is needed. - No account is needed. Learners type in their Outschool name. This allows everyone to provide answers privately.
