Learners will complete the second half of Singapore Math Dimensions 8B in this 8-week semester course. *Learners must have their own copy of the required books to take this course. The materials are listed in the "Supply List" section. The publisher has expressly stated that their books may not be shown on camera, as Outschool records all classes. I have taught and tutored math for about twenty years. I hold a current teaching certificate in K-8 elementary school, with a focus on math. I am halfway to my master's in secondary math. I really enjoy math - it is very relate-able to food and money!
Homework Offered
1) Complete any workbook pages/problems assigned. 2) Review work done in the textbook. 3) Practice math facts - addition, subtraction, multiplication, division - as learned in class. 4) Optional homework assignments can be completed as the practice is needed.2 - 4 hours per week outside of class
Assessments Offered
Progress will be evaluated with the "Practice" pages. Placement tests could also continue to be taken to ensure learner progress.Grades Offered

External Resources (optional): All the external resources in this class are optional. ixl.com - This class includes a paid subscription to ixl.com for the duration of this course. This is an optional resource and not required for learners. Learners will be given a username and password upon request. Khan Academy - This class also provides matching supplementary lessons from Khan Academy - you can use without creating an account. YouTube - Videos with YouTube links will be provided for pre-teaching the class material. No account is needed. Classkick - No account is needed. I will post a link to the class Classkick. Learners will type in their Outschool name, but no other information is needed. Whiteboard.fi - No account is needed. Learners type in their Outschool name. This allows everyone to provide answers privately.
