Class Experience

This is an opportunity for the students to work on language skills in a fun a exciting way. We will each take turns showing our favorite toys to the camera. I will be asking the students prompting questions to get them to tell us more about their toy. Questions like; Where did you get this? What do you love about it? Does it do anything special? How do you play with it? etc... This class is a great class for students who are just learning to talk with peers or who need practice using an online platform. This is going to be an interactive class and students will work on engaging with me and with their peers.

Teacher expertise and credentials
Hi everyone! My name is Tirzah and I have a Bachelor's Degree in elementary education, with a minor in early childhood education. I truly love working with children and it is something I've done since high-school! In the classroom I taught 4th grade for 3 years, and then substitute taught when I decided to stay home with my son. I have privately tutored, and am currently working part-time in an Early Childhood Education Center in the 2-3 year old room. I am very excited to work with students virtually in a variety of areas. I am looking forward to teaching topics like: reading comprehension, 3 and 4-year-old social skills, multiplication, and book clubs. One of my favorite things to do is to read, so I cannot wait to share my enthusiasm with my students. Being a teacher and a mother I truly feel like showing and modeling empathy is the best way to teach it. I truly believe that learning is about making mistakes and trying new things. In my classroom you can find a dedicated, loving, and supportive teacher. I am so excited to meet you!
