Class Experience

US Grade Preschool - 1
Beginner Level
This is a learner directed class. Learners decide to show and tell their favourite toys in a welcoming and inclusive setting. Miss Libby will invite one child, at a time, to show their favourite toys (dolls, blocks, stuffed animal, costume etc). Each attending learner will be invited to ask a question and/or provide positive feedback to other learners. Practicing the etiquette of taking turns, listening, asking constructive questions, and providing positive feedback to fellow learners will be emphasized. The goal in this class is to give confidence in each learner and to encourage the other attending learners to interact with their co-learners in a safe, inclusive environment. Miss Libby will have the role of "moderator", ensuring that all learners can participate equitably. Children are encouraged to bring more than one toy to class.
Learning Goals
Children will practise speaking skills, learn to ask questions, answer questions, listen attentively and respectfully. Children will build their self-confidence and the confidence of their online friends!
