Shapes Make a Gingerbread House – Let’s Draw and Learn!
We will draw and color (or paint) a gingerbread house while learning interesting facts about making a real gingerbread house with different types of candy.

Class Experience
We will begin with introductions which will be followed by the teacher showing a real homemade gingerbread house. Then the students will follow along, as the teacher draws a gingerbread house using shapes, lines, and curves. Once the outline is drawn, the students will color and/or paint the picture as they choose. While the students are coloring and painting, the teacher will read "The Gingerbread Pirates" by Kristin Kladstrup. We will share at the end of the lesson. It’s possible to...
Students will identify basic shapes and learn fun facts about making a real gingerbread house. They will use their fine motor skills to draw a gingerbread house and individualize their picture using various art supplies.
white paper good for drawing and/or painting, pencil, eraser, colored markers, crayons, colored pencils, watercolor paints, paintbrush, a cup of water, paper towel (if painting)
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
25 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
