This is an introductory class to help parents and students become familiar with Outschool before deciding on a weekly commitment. It also provides the opportunity for students to get to know me and decide if they would like to continue with further instruction. Students will learn how to create a simple character by connecting basic shapes of varying sizes.
I am a lifelong, self- taught artist, beginning at a very young age. I received 3 years of advanced art instruction in secondary school. My experience includes selling my work in an art gallery which I owned and operated. I continue to be privately commissioned and give pieces as gifts. Prior to retiring from working in special education, I applied my skills in the form of art therapy for behaviorally challenged children in the classroom setting.
