What's included

45 live meetings

Homework
1-2 hours per week. Normally each week will have in class work, a piece of creative writing to be completed outside of class, and a grammar lesson to be completed outside of the class.
Assignments
Every two months, a fun assignment will be given out that builds on the skills that everyone has been working on. These are normally in the form of a piece of poetry, critical analysis of a writing sample, or a challenge.
Projects
Each unit will have one test-level project that showcases a student's work through their own creative writing in the style/genre of that current unit study.
Letter Grade
I like to send out progress reports at the end of every unit study so parents and students can stay up to date with their grade.

Class Experience

US Grade 9 - 12
Intermediate Level
Creative Writing invites you to explore the art of storytelling, self-expression, and persuasive writing across six dynamic genres. From crafting fictional worlds and writing poetry to persuasive essays and real-life narratives, you’ll learn new techniques to bring your ideas to life. Through engaging exercises, peer feedback, and personal projects, you’ll develop your writing style, strengthen your grammar, and experiment with vocabulary. By the end of the course, you’ll have a portfolio of creative work, a solid understanding of different genres, and the skills to confidently express yourself in writing.
