1-2 hours per week. Practicing what you will speak is a critical element for the interviews. For essays, it will be important to come with a draft if requested, otherwise, we will work on it during our sessions. Working on the draft between sessions will allow for the best quality essay to come.Class Experience
This is a private coaching session for applicants to high school that is learner-driven. We can work on public speaking for interviews, your essays, brainstorm on essay topics, discuss your future dreams and goals, or any blockages that make it harder for you to write/begin confidently talking about yourself or expressing yourself in essays. High school applications and interviews involve two main skills both of which can be challenging for youth – feeling comfortable with what they offer and the courage to share it confidently and writing and speaking poignantly with a time constraint. I assist students to connect with their inner sense of self and give them the tools they need to empower brilliant self-expressions. The best time to get started is when students are 11-12 years old so they can gain confidence talking about themselves and also learn how to speak succinctly on these topics as well. Sessions can focus on speaking: interview prep, learning how to speak on your gifts or writing: getting at the root of an essay - brainstorming and crafting a draft or whatever the student wants to work on with regards to college counseling and mentoring. If you are looking for a quality coach and amazing value, I can offer that to you with deep commitment to your learner's future! These sessions also can work for advice and counseling for tweens to make sure they are picking the right activities and classes to start building their resume for high school. The biggest challenge is waiting until last minute to have the right experiences to write about and the time to reflect on it before they have essays due. The time is now :-) I can work with up to two learners at a time but we may need multiple sessions if there is a lot to cover from the two learners. Please reach out with questions. Looking forward to being inspired together.

From darkness to inspired.
With less than a week before the deadline, Stephanie was instrumental in helping our son write an incredible essay for his college application. Not only did he get in to the college of his dreams, the essay also helped him feel very strongly about his choices. Before meeting with Stephanie, he was really stuck and had no idea how to begin or what subject to write about. Stephanie helped him discover what sets him apart and to express something he truly believes in – and also gave him the inspiration to work hard at achieving his goal. We couldn’t thank her enough!

Great College Essay Tutor
Stephanie has been an amazing help to my son with his college essays. She is a very patient, intelligent, and passionate tutor and has a calming presence that never fails to get him out of his panic mode when he gets "frozen" by all the work he has to do. She really knows the ins and outs of what schools are looking for in the college essay, is able to spark his thought process, and channel his writing into something way beyond just good structure and grammar. Would definitely recommend her to anyone looking for help with writing.

“Stephanie’s professional experience in international development translated fluidly to the masters level classroom. She complimented the rigorous academic curriculum with allegory and assignments focused on skills building. I was personally inspired by her diverse professional background and ability to break outside the walls of academia. Communication with Stephanie was reliable and her expectations from us were openly discussed. I’d recommend anyone looking to gain skills in international development and foreign policy to take her class.”

Energetic and Insightful Tutor
Stephanie helped my high school aged son prepare an application for admittance into a selective school program. She spent time to truly understand what the program was about so she could best assist my son. Stephanie also has a knack for figuring out a student's interest and then help them structure their answers accordingly. My son was so intrigued after their first session, that for the next two hours he continued to discuss with me their conversation. I highly recommend Stephanie for tutoring young adults!
