Class Experience
Beginner - Advanced Level
𝗜𝗻𝘁𝗿𝗼𝗱𝘂𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 In this class, learners will receive individualized instruction on clarinet or saxophone, tailored to their unique needs and goals in a relaxed and positive environment. I specialize in the following topics: 1. Fundamental Techniques: Mastering long tones, scales, and articulation to build a strong foundation. 2. Music Theory Integration: Understanding the theory behind the music to enhance musicality and performance. 3. Solo Repertoire: Working on solo pieces, focusing on expression, technique, and performance skills. 4. Band and Ensemble Music: Preparing and refining pieces for school bands or ensembles, ensuring students are confident in group settings. My teaching method is rooted in giving students the tools they need to discover and nurture their passion for music. Lessons typically include a customized mix of fundamental work, weekly assignments from an appropriate method book, and selected solo or band music based on the student’s interests and needs. I believe in a collaborative approach, where each lesson is a partnership between the student and me, ensuring a supportive and inspiring learning environment. Weekly lessons are the most effective way to help your child gain musical fluency and confidence on their instrument. With 15 years of experience in teaching saxophone and clarinet, I have successfully guided many students in achieving their musical goals through this fundamentals-based approach. 𝗔𝗯𝗼𝘂𝘁 𝗠𝗿.
