Beginner Level
The way I teach this skill is very easy to learn and your child will be prepared for success in Algebra.
I will show students how to do an exercise on the white board. They will learn by actually doing example exercises during class. I will repeat with another exercise and will explain as many times as needed until the students are ready to do the exercises by themselves. Once started, I will check their answers for accuracy and follow up with any necessary explanations. I encourage all participants to try as many exercises as possible. I follow up the class with an upload of homework with the solutions.
NOTE: Students must be fluent in solving basic equations with variables on both sides.
NOTE: If no one shows after 10 minutes , the meeting is canceled.

The course breakdown is as follows:
Week 1: Solving Systems of Linear Equations by Graphing.
Week 2: Solving Systems of Linear Equations by Substitution.
Week 3: Solving Systems of Linear Equations by Elimination(easy)
Week 4: Solving Sytems of Linear Equations by Elimination.(medium)
week 5: Solving Sytems of Linear Equations by Elimination.(challenging)
Week 6: Graphing Linear Inequalities in Two Variables.
Week 7: Systems of Linear Inequalities.

Lesson 2:
Solving Systems of Linear Equations by Substitution.
In this 50 minute class, the first 20 minutes will be an explanation of the topic title along with detailed examples.
The resultant 30 minutes students will workout examples and get immediate feedback and correction of exercises.
Substitution is an essential skill in the study of algebra and applicable in Science classes. Students will learn and or reinforce this important skill. The SAT exam has questions about using the substitution method. 50 mins online live lesson
Lesson 3:

The elimination method another essential skill in the study of algebra. Students will learn and reinforce this important skill.
The SAT exam has questions about using the elimination method.
I break down this method into 3 levels of difficulty: easy, medium and challenging. 50 mins online live lesson

Other Details
Pre-Requisites
Minimum of at least , completion of or currently enrolled , in Algebra 1.
NOTE: This class is for beginners, or students who have never taken the SAT or have scored under 500 in the math portion of the SAT.
Supply List
A graph notebook ruler and pencil.

Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
