Join us in our virtual engineering & coding laboratory and explore the exciting world of digital robotics! In this one on one tutoring session, kids will learn how to program a robot using VEX VR robotics platforms and block-based coding. They will make their robot come to life as they learn how to program it to solve mazes and interactive challenges. This program is designed for kids who have an interest in robots and/or programming. No prior experience is necessary, and participants should be comfortable using keyboards or touchscreens to read and follow instructions.

This student-centered course is designed to be highly engaging and interactive, with collaborative projects. Our expert instructors will guide kids through progressively advanced robotics programs, teaching them the basics of programming with robotics software, and showing them how coding can be used to solve puzzles and complex problems.

Over the course of 55 minutes sessions, kids will learn to program robots, using VEX VR robotics platforms.

They will learn about programming logic, algorithms, and conditional statements. In this personalized tutoring session, students will learn to code with VEXcode and program robots to complete exciting tasks and challenges. They'll also have the opportunity to explore additional robotics or coding topics based on their interests, making each session uniquely tailored to their goals. This hands-on experience fosters creativity, problem-solving, and a deeper understanding of robotics engineering.

Each class meeting is 55 minutes long, giving kids plenty of time to dive deep into the material and work on projects. Our teaching style is highly interactive, with a mix of lecture, games, slides, and discussion. Kids will get to interact with their instructor throughout the session, asking questions and getting feedback on their projects.

We suggest taking multiple sessions, at least 6 sessions so your student will have a deep understanding of robotics programming, and they will have completed a series of progressively advanced robotics challenges. They will have the skills and confidence to continue exploring the exciting world of robotics and programming on their own.

Example of what we can offer:
Day 1 - Learn about the VEX VR interface, Learn basics about programming and teach your robot to do a variety of tasks. Add other projects as needed based on the students interest and what they would like to learn
Day 2 - Learn about repeating loops in code, program your robot to do varies things around VEX VR interface
Day 3 - Learn about using sensors and variables, and exciting more advanced challenges.
Day 4 - Add other projects as needed based on the students interest and what they would like to learn
Day 5 - Learn to think critically using code to solve problems.
Day 6 - Continue learning more advanced coding and continue working on projects that your child is interested in
