Description

Class Experience

Robotics is a growing field in our world that is constantly changing and advancing in technology.

In this course, you will experience firsthand what it is like to be a Robotics Engineer. You will have the opportunity to build and program your own robot through various obstacles and challenges presented throughout the class.

For this course, students will be programming and building using Spike Prime. Students will be using it to learn to program robots, create their projects, and share their creations.

Students will learn that being a Robotics Engineer starts with understanding a robot's parts and building and programming several simple tasks.

With the instructor's guide, students will learn that they, too, can be a part of the Robotics Engineer process if they are willing to try.
Bright & Smart was founded in 2005. We have been teaching and developing our programs for the past 15 years. We create our programs with students' learning experience in mind; we want them to learn to love STEM and develop their higher cognitive skills and natural abilities; we help them see themselves as technology creators.
Participants will be allowed to continue to build and program their robots in between meetings. Before every meeting, participants can present their projects and the improvements they made in the process.
Students must have the Lego Spike Prime (Cost ~$340) to participate in this class.
In addition to the Outschool classroom, this class uses:
No assessment will be administered. This club is for participants to challenge themselves to think outside the box and place themselves in engineers' minds.
1 hour per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
