Each session is full of projects based on Passion, Collaboration with Peers, and in a Playful Spirit. Robotics is a growing field in our world that is constantly changing and advancing in technology. In this course, you will get to experience first hand what it is like to be a Robotics Engineer. You will have the opportunity to build and program your own robot through various obstacles and challenges presented throughout the class. For this course, students will be programming and building the mBot from MakeBlock. Students are using it to learn to program, create their own projects and share their creations. Students will learn that being a Robotics Engineer starts with understanding the parts of a robot and continues into building and programming robots to complete tasks. With the guide of an instructor, students will learn that they too can be Robotics Engineers, if they are willing to just try.
Bright & Smart was founded in 2005. We have been teaching and developing our programs for the past 15 years. We create our programs with students learning experience in mind; we want them to learn to love STEM and to develop their higher cognitive skills and natural abilities, we help them to see themselves as creators of technology.
Homework Offered
Students will be allowed to continue to build and program their robots in between meetings. Prior to every class, students can present their projects and the improvements they made in the process.0 - 1 hours per week outside of class

Students must have the mBot* from MakeBlock (price range: $59-$79) at home to participate. *mBot is a STEAM education robot for beginners, that makes teaching and learning robot programming simple and fun. With just a screwdriver, the step by step instructions, and a study schedule, children can build a robot from scratch and experience the joys of hands-on creation. As they go, they will learn about a variety of robotic machinery and electronic parts, get to grips with the fundamentals of block-based programming, and develop their logical thinking and design skills.
