Beginner Level
This beginner-friendly course is designed for students who want to create their own Roblox game and learn the basics of coding in Luau, the programming language used in Roblox Studio. No prior experience in coding or game creation is required. Through hands-on lessons, students will explore the essential tools and scripts needed to design a simple Roblox game. Please note: This class does not use drag-and-drop or "block" coding. The coding in this class involves typing information using a computer keyboard. You must be comfortable typing before beginning this course. I strongly encourage using two devices for class. A Windows or Mac computer for Roblox Studio and another device for participating on Outschool/Zoom.

Parental Guidance
Parental Guidance is advised for students under 13 when accessing the internet and when downloading and installing programs such as Roblox Studio. Roblox Studio is a free program that should only be downloaded from the official Roblox site. www.roblox.com/create. Roblox Studio requires a Roblox account.
Roblox Studio's toolbox contains premade items that can added into the game environment. The toolbox contains items that may be unsafe for your computer. This class does NOT use or encourage use of the Toolbox.
Pre-Requisites
Typing/Keyboarding experience is required for this course. This course assumes students have experience using a Windows/Mac computer. A Windows/Mac computer is required for class.
