Projects
1-2 hours per week. For your final project in this Roblox Scripting and Game Design course, you'll create a complete, polished game that highlights your skills in scripting and game design. You'll design and build a fully functional game from scratch, incorporating sophisticated game mechanics, detailed environments, and interactive elements. Your project should reflect your ability to use the coding techniques and design principles learned throughout the course. You'll need to include complex features, such as custom scripts for unique gameplay mechanics, and ensure the game runs smoothly and is engaging for players. The final project also involves presenting your game to the class, explaining your design choices, and demonstrating how you implemented various features. Class Experience

Beginner Level
Welcome!

This course is for students who have been using Roblox Studio and coding for at least six months. If you’re comfortable with making basic Roblox games and want to take your skills to the next level, this is the class for you.

In this hands-on course, you’ll work on exciting projects that dive into more advanced scripting and game design. You’ll learn how to create cool game mechanics, design detailed game worlds, and build polished, interactive experiences. You should already know the basics of coding and Roblox Studio BEFORE taking this class. It is still a beginner level, but some prior knowledge is needed.

Note: This class isn’t for complete beginners. Make sure you’re comfortable with basic coding and using Roblox Studio before signing up. If you’re not sure if you meet the requirements, just send me a message.

Important: You should have a good grasp of coding concepts and be ready to type out code yourself. We won’t use drag-and-drop tools or pre-made objects. You’ll need to use two devices—one for coding and one for participating in class on Outschool/Zoom. Feel free to reach out if you have any questions!

Hi!

My name is Miss Jennifer and I teach classes about Roblox/Roblox Studio and Blender.

I am also a Roblox Event Organizer and I enjoy teaching others about coding and video game design. I love video games and it is a joy to be able to teach what I love to do.

I don't just teach roblox stuff, I am a huge fan. When I am not teaching, I am on Roblox just like you. I play ERLC, Pls Donate, Pet Sim 99, Bladeball, Berry Ave., The Strongest Battlegrounds, and Bedwars. I am Zukojen on Roblox.

Before Outschool, I worked as a software developer for a hospital system. My primary coding languages are Lua/Roblox Lua, C++, Java, and C#.

I was born and raised in Westchester County, New York. I now live in Nevada (Pacific Standard Time Zone).

I have taught over 3,000 students here on Outschool how to code and create their own games. I hope to see you in my classes soon!
