This is a great way to recognize their hard work and keep them motivated as they build their coding skills! 🚀Class Experience
Beginner - Intermediate Level
🕹️ Class Experience In this hands-on Roblox Studio bootcamp, learners will become game developers as they build their very own 3D obstacle course (Obby) while learning essential game design and Lua scripting skills. Over the course of the camp, students won’t just play a game—they’ll create one from the ground up! 🎮 What Will Be Taught? Roblox Studio interface navigation Designing and customizing 3D characters Building interactive obstacle courses (Obbys) Lua scripting basics to add logic and interactivity Core coding concepts: variables, if statements, object properties, and collision detection Game publishing and player testing 🧱 What Will Learners Build? Each learner will: Customize their own player character Use parts and tools to create platforms, lava jumps, disappearing paths, and traps Add interactivity with scripts (like breaking apart when touching lava!) Decorate their world using shapes and toolbox assets Playtest and publish their game in Roblox Studio 🧑🏫 Class Structure & Teaching Style Each session follows a clear structure: short demo, step-by-step build, live coding, and playtesting. We use screen-sharing, slides, and visual walkthroughs to support every learner. Teachers will check in with each learner often, offering help through guided modeling, encouraging creativity, and promoting experimentation. Learners are encouraged to share progress and ideas, and get personalized feedback. 👋 Interaction Style Highly interactive, with constant teacher engagement and Q&A Learners can ask questions, get live help, and share their screens for troubleshooting Peer sharing encouraged to celebrate progress and creativity 💡 Experience Level No prior coding experience required. This camp is great for ages 9–13 who love Roblox and want to start building their own games.
Learning Goals
Learners will navigate the Roblox Studio interface and use core building tools to design 3D game environments.
Learners will apply basic Lua scripting to add interactivity, such as character behaviors and obstacle mechanics.
