COURSE BREAKDOWN *YOUNGER CHILDREN MAY NEED ADULT HELP DURING THIS CLASS.* *STUDENTS MAY NOT COMPLETE THEIR BOT BY THE END OF CLASS. PLEASE ASSIST THEM AFTER CLASS IF NEEDED.* - 3 min. Introductions - 5 min. Teacher will explain the who, what, why, how, when and where of recycling. For example, What can be recycled? Paper, plastic, metal and glass can be recycled. We will discuss each of these questions in class and Teacher will show examples of each and read excerpts from the book,...
The student will learn the who, what, why, how, when and where of recycling. The student will have fun creating their own robot out of recyclable materials. PLEASE NOTE - The student may need to repeat the class to gain mastery.
Please bring recyclable materials to class, for example, cereal boxes, toilet paper rolls, water bottles, aluminum cans, etc. but NOT GLASS. Also bring scissors, tape, markers, etc.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
The student will most likely need to use scissors during class to make their recycle bot. Please assist your child as needed.
