What will they do? 
What will be Taught?
Students will be taught about a relationship between physical traits of Mangroves ,and common animal behaviors. 
What topics will we cover?
Session 1:  Characteristics of Mangrove Habitats
Session 2:  Type of Mangroves Trees
Session 3:  Weedon Island Mangroves 
Session 4:  Gym Battle

How is class structured?
In order to uphold standards from the Pokémon League, class management will be structured around respect for others choice of animal or Pokemon. Expectations for questions is to raise their hand clicking the “Raise Hand” icon. 
How will I teach?
I will teach with the 5 e model to:
Engage with my lecture presentation through discussion on group chat and call on.
Explore a Mangrove swamp with a video clip,, and sources of scientific research performed on the Mangroves.
Explain how common animals behave to survive inside the Mangroves with words or illustrations.
Evaluate common animal behavior to survive in the Mangroves with factual evidence. 
Extend our knowledge of these animals to Pokémon with a ‘question & answer’ game.
 
Learners do not have to own Pokemon Cards to participate and can rely on their wits to earn the badge. They will be provided Pokemon of random choosing and must use only 1 basic to catch other Pokemon to win. Player does not need cards. 
 
Prior knowledge: Adventure in Singer Island Mangroves. Able to write a sentence. Ability to chat on zoom for a response. Ability to learn how to access files on the class page.

Learning Goals
Students will learn to describe physical characteristics of The Mangroves.
Students will learn about different type of Mangrove Trees.
Students will learn to identify the type of animals found near The Mangroves at Weedon Island. 
Students should be able to write and or illustrate observations of the Mangroves.
