Ready Set Go!: Let's Learn to Read!

I love learning! I love writing! I love gardening! I love Anatomy! Most importantly, I love teaching! I have taught elementary education and ESL online for the past 12 years. I am currently in a Herbal Immersion program and love getting my hands in the dirt. Watching my seedlings grow is very similar to the joy of watching children understand new concepts. Through scaffolding information little by little students grow and create a beautiful toolbox of knowledge. I also enjoy working with my clients in my Orthopedic Bodywork practice. Teaching Anatomy and Musculature classes is fulfilling because I understand the invaluable resource it is to understand how our bodies work. My desire is to offer classes that will teach students the importance of their bodies and how they work. From the inside out! Bones, Muscles, and Nervous System. Our bodies are the vehicles that help us to create our worlds. 
Through creative writing activities, I want to ignite a love for using words to help express and understand the beautiful world in which we live. Last but not least, I love guiding students through the magical world of reading. I will provide fun Phonics and beginner reading classes that will start the foundation to growing life long readers and learners! 
I am a mother five children.  We live on a small farm with rabbits, chickens, cats, a dog and our newest member, a bearded dragon. 
I am an active listener that tries to create a compassionate and effective learning environment to all the diversities in every classroom! I strive to meet each student where they are and allow them to have the opportunity to grow and learn naturally. I have never felt like teaching was a job. It has always been a blessing and a gift! I cherish the opportunity to be a step on every student's learning ladder.  Thank you!  I can't wait to see your child in my class room!
